Do I need to have a Czech electronic road vignette starting from January 1, 2021?
From December 1, 2020, electronic road vignettes can be purchased online using a computer or smartphone. A network of physical points of sale and self-service kiosks is also available. From January 1, 2021, electronic road vignettes have been in effect in the Czech Republic in accordance with Act No. 13/1997 Coll., “On Roads.”
Where can I buy a Czech vignette?
In the Czech Republic, a Czech vignette is required to use toll motorways and expressways. The official vignette can be purchased in the following ways: • Online via the portal electronic-vignette.cz — the most convenient and fastest way to pay for the vignette in the Czech Republic. A Russian-language version is available. • At Benzina and OMV gas stations — queues are possible, and not all staff speak foreign languages. • At Česká pošta post offices. • At special self-service terminals — language options are limited when ordering the vignette.
